Learning about the Special Features of the Church
Wheal Harmony went over to St. Stephen’s church this afternoon to learn about the special features of the church. They had a great time learning about the individual areas/artefacts inside.
RE Day
RE day produced some amazing discussions and pieces of work.
Here are just a few examples.
Wheal Rose made palms and sang Hosanna to re-enact the triumphant entry into Jerusalem.
Puja Worship
Wheal Busy and Wheal Bunnie learnt about Puja worship in their R.E. lesson today. They can tell you how the Hindus prepare for Puja and prayer.
Christingle Service at St. Stephens Church
Well done to all the Key Stage 1 children who took part in our Christingle service at St. Stephens Church today. Reverend Bush shared the meaning behind the Christingle celebration and led us all in prayer. The children all behaved impeccably! Work in progress…the budding artists in Wheal Plenty are using the Hindu story, ‘The man in the well’ as inspiration for their works of art.
Years 3 and 4 have been learning about what the bible teaches about the Trinity.
Trinity and why it is important to Christians
Wheal Kitty are learning about the Trinity and why it is important to Christians. We learnt about prayer and the special blessing Paul sent to the Corinthians. We looked up the verse in the Bible and then we wrote our own blessings.
What is Braham?
Wheal Raven discussed in groups what Brahman was by looking at pictures and symbols.
KS2 Harvest Festival
Wheal Fortune used clay to make examples of their own gods based on Hindu gods.
Our Guest Speaker
All of years 1 and 2 were very privileged to have a guest speaker in our assembly today talking about the religion that her family follows.
