Congratulations to all who took part!
Redruth School Tournament
Well done to our Y5/6 girls who competed in a tournament at Redruth School this morning. After narrowly losing the first match 3-2, they won their second game 1-0. All three goals were scored by Betty but there were other great performances, notably Isla in defence. Well done to all those involved.

Treleigh Basketball Team

Congratulations to our basketball team who came a very respectable 3rd place out of 10 schools in the area finals at Penryn College this morning! The matches were played at an incredible pace with high intensity; fitness and reactions were tested to the maximum. Well done boys!

Treleigh Vs Trevithick
Well done to all the lads involved in today’s year 3 and 4 match against Trevithick this afternoon. We had a few players ruled out at last minute, so Trevithick showed great sportsmanship allowing us to use two of their players to allow an 8 v 8 match. Overall, it was a very competitive match but it was Treleigh who took their chances. With plenty of talent on display from both sides, we look forward to our next meeting.

Squad: Fejiro, Jack Du, Jack Do, Sol, Sully, Lochlan
Goals: Lochlan x2, Sol x2, Guest Player
Mr. P’s Player of the Match: Despite many great performances, it goes to Jack Du for great marking, control under pressure and unselfish play.

Netball Area Finals at Penryn

We are incredibly proud of our Netball team today who competed in the area finals at Penryn. Treleigh were one of seven teams who made it through to a tough final. They played a spectacular six games and from the second that every whistle blew to the end of each match they fought with true determination. They won four games (winning one match 7-0), lost one and drew one with the opposition equalising in the last minute despite fantastic defensive skills. They came a well earned 2nd place, the highest our team have finished. In true Treleigh style they finished each match with true sportsmanship. Congratulations!

Redruth School Basketball Tournament
What an amazing event the Redruth School basketball tournament was this morning! Sending across three teams, it was great to see how the children picked up the rules for an unfamiliar and action-packed 3v3 format against the other schools. We are delighted to say that Treleigh (yellows) won the overall event and will be representing the Redruth area in the finals, Treleigh (greens) narrowly lost out in the semi-finals and Treleigh (orange) won the Plate competition! The event was superbly organised, and all schools displayed great sportsmanship throughout. Well done to all 15 children for an amazing display of talent!

It doesn’t matter which side they represented in the competitive Camborne v Redruth derby, these lads were great friends regardless!

Skateboarding Club enjoyed learning new tricks in the sunshine tonight with plenty of talent on show! Skateboard.

Local Rugby

Whatever colour you were supporting today, what an amazing advert for local rugby. A long overdue reunion of Camborne v Redruth in its first competitive league match since 1991. With a couple of ex-Treleigh pupils breaking into National league rugby, we look forward to seeing what the future brings

Trevictus Games

A big 'well done' to those children who represented our school with pride today at the Trevictus Games. What a sterling job they did!

Hitting the Surf

Day 2 for Years 5 and 6 hitting the surf! They were blessed with excellent conditions for Mr. Hanley to showcase his skills! But in all seriousness, the children had an absolutely fantastic time, were a credit to Treleigh and their families, representing themselves and the school tremendously! I think they will all sleep well tonight! Stoked!

Surfing at Gwithian

Yesterday 5 pupils had a fantastic morning surfing at Gwithian with Global Boarders Surf School. Their first challenge was getting into damp wetsuits, that was tricky. They then carried the boards to the sea and showed real perseverance and courage and overcame their nerves. Just look at the smiles on their faces! Mrs Finch, Mrs Wheeler and Ms James are very proud of them all!

Community Sporting Success…!
After 6 league races over 6 months, with clubs from across Devon, Cornwall and up as far as Taunton, Senara secured 3rd place in her age group in the Westward Cross Country League.

Well done Senara-we are all very proud!
AREA FINAL RUNNER-UP!

What an amazing achievement from our basketball team who represented the Redruth area at Penryn College today in the area finals. In their group matches against Penponds, Threemilestone, Penryn, Archbishop Benson and Mount Hawke, they won 4 and lost 1 before progressing into the overall final against a very strong Threemilestone team. Despite their best efforts, it wasn’t to be as Threemilestone ended up worthy winners. All five children should feel extremely proud as many schools would have been involved in the build-up to this.

The First Round of the Primary Cross-Country Key Stage 2 Competition

Wow! Outstanding effort and achievements from our school cross-country team today. We took over thirty pupils to Redruth School to participate in the first round of the Primary Cross-Country Key Stage 2 Competition. We are very proud to be taking a number of pupils to the next round. All children displayed perseverance, grit and determination! Bravo Treleigh!

A Talented Group of Footballers
What a talented group of footballers we have rising through the ranks at Treleigh! Against a strong Stithians outfit, this team from years 3, 4 and 5 put in a great performance, with many of them making their Treleigh debut.
After plenty of possession in the first half, Treleigh eventually broke down the resolute visiting defence in the final seconds of the match as year 3 pupil, Sol, weaved through the defensive line to hammer home the winning goal!
All of the lads should feel very proud of their performance. Thank you to the parents for their amazing support-we hope you enjoyed it!
Squad: Sonny, Mason, Noah, Leo, Harrison G, Harrison E, Lochlan, Sully, Sol, Charlie-Jack.
Player of the match: Noah, strong tackles in defence, read the game well and played out well under pressure.
